Scientific Data Architect - Basel, Switzerland

TetraScience, the scientific data and AI firm behind the Tetra OS platform, is looking for a Scientific Data Architect to join its Basel office. The company enables leading life‑science organisations to turn fragmented experimental data into AI‑ready assets and workflows, partnering with technology leaders such as NVIDIA, Databricks, Snowflake, Google and Microsoft. In this role you will work closely with customers in the Frankfurt region a few days each week, building trust and uncovering their data challenges. You will design reusable data models, create Python‑based parsers, integrate ELN/LIMS systems via APIs, and build visualisation apps with tools like Streamlit, Plotly or holoviews. You will also collaborate with scientific business analysts, applied AI engineers and product managers to prototype, demo and deploy AI/ML, mechanistic or statistical models, while keeping stakeholders informed of progress. The position requires a PhD with at least four years, or a master's degree with eight years, of industry experience in life sciences, especially in drug discovery, pre‑clinical development, CMC or product‑quality testing. Candidates must have a proven record of defining, designing and delivering AI/ML‑driven use cases in cloud environments, and be comfortable performing deep exploratory data analysis and workflow optimisation. Strong communication and storytelling skills are essential, as is the ability to advise scientists in a consulting capacity. Business‑level German (C1) is mandatory.
