Staff Backend Engineer

As a Staff Backend Engineer you will join a team that builds the core data platform powering this proactive approach. Your daily work will involve designing, implementing and delivering large‑scale, resilient services that ingest billions of events, while continuously improving the platform’s reliability and performance. You will collaborate closely with product managers, architects and other engineers to maintain high quality, ship complex features, and handle Level‑3 support incidents. Participation in agile ceremonies, contribution to the technology roadmap and advocacy for security, quality and efficiency are also expected. The role requires at least ten years of Java development experience in SaaS environments, strong competence with micro‑service architectures, and solid knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka. Professional fluency in English, both spoken and written, is mandatory, along with proven teamwork and communication abilities. You must be self‑driven, well‑organized and possess a solution‑focused attitude. Additional assets include familiarity with Micronaut or Spring, experience on AWS or another cloud provider, and exposure to streaming, distributed caching, CI/CD pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes.
