Technical Lead / Cross-Domain Architect (m/w/d) – Winterthur Area

NTT DATA, a global leader in business and technology services with a $30 billion turnover, is looking for a Technical Lead / Cross‑Domain Architect to steer its enterprise‑wide infrastructure strategy. In this senior role you will act as the principal technical authority across compute, network, storage, security and cloud platforms. Daily duties include governing architecture, defining and maintaining design patterns and standards, and reviewing cross‑domain decisions to ensure they meet business, security and operational goals. You will serve as the top escalation point for complex incidents and strategic initiatives, mentor L2 and L3 engineers, and collaborate with operational, engineering and customer stakeholders to keep the infrastructure secure, resilient, scalable and supportable. The position also involves contributing to governance forums, service reviews, architecture boards and maintaining up‑to‑date documentation, roadmaps and governance frameworks. The employer requires extensive experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture and technical leadership, with broad expertise spanning networking, security, compute, storage, virtualization, cloud and container platforms. A solid grasp of architecture governance, service operations, resilience, high availability and lifecycle management is essential, as is a proven track record of leading cross‑functional technical teams in large‑scale, mission‑critical environments. Strong communication, stakeholder‑management and decision‑making abilities are mandatory, together with German language proficiency at least at B2 level. Candidates must hold Swiss citizenship and be based in, or regularly available to, the Winterthur area. Preferred qualifications include TOGAF or an equivalent enterprise‑architecture certification, ITIL 4 Managing Professional or Strategic Leader credentials, and expert‑level domain certifications such as Cisco CCIE (Enterprise Infrastructure or Data Center), Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS), Fortinet FCX/FCSS, F5 Certified Solution Expert (F5‑CSE), NetApp NCIE and Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA). Additional security, network, storage or compute certifications are considered advantageous.
