Head of Operations - Full time - CH

Ikerian AG, a rapidly expanding medical‑device software firm now part of Essilor Luxottica, develops AI‑driven data solutions that help clinicians make faster, more accurate decisions in eye care and broader health screening. As Head of Operations you will steer the company’s operational maturity and global scaling, building a high‑performance “Operating System” that aligns research, development and commercial activities across the organization. In this executive role you will oversee the core operational functions—Project Management Office, Quality & Regulatory Affairs and Human Resources—while mentoring their leaders. You will design and enforce a unified knowledge infrastructure that serves as a single audited source of truth, professionalize vendor management, and ensure legal compliance in partnership with external counsel and the finance team. The position also includes translating CEO and Board objectives into synchronized departmental targets, supporting post‑merger integration with Essilor Luxottica, and guiding the regulatory strategy needed for FDA 510(k)/De Novo and EU MDR clearances. The role requires a university degree in Business, Law, Engineering or a related scientific discipline, with an MBA or PhD viewed favorably. Candidates must bring at least ten years of senior leadership experience, a proven record of scaling MedTech software or health‑IT companies, and demonstrated ability to construct operating frameworks that break down silos. Experience with information architecture, knowledge‑management platforms, complex regulatory environments, and multi‑disciplinary project delivery is essential, as are strong stakeholder‑management, analytical and English communication skills. Residency in Switzerland or willingness to relocate to Bern is mandatory. Preferred attributes include an MBA or PhD, a track record of navigating FDA or MDR pathways, and a collaborative mindset suited to an international, diverse team.
