Laboratory Technician - Aquatic Ecotoxicology- 100%

Eurofins Agroscience Group, a leading European contract‑research organisation, seeks a Laboratory Technician for its Aquatic Ecotoxicology unit. The company runs field and laboratory investigations to assess the safety and efficacy of new chemicals and biological agents for humans and the environment, operating under GEP and GLP standards from its Swiss base near Basel. The technician will carry out GLP‑compliant work according to detailed SOPs, setting up and managing static, semi‑static and especially flow‑through test systems with various fish species following OECD guidelines. Tasks include handling fish at all life stages, recording biometric data, sampling tissues, preparing chemical solutions, performing biochemical assays such as EIA, calibrating equipment, maintaining aquaria, drafting or revising SOPs, entering data into software, and delivering clear progress reports. The role demands precise, autonomous execution within the department’s project plan. Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in biology or a related science, a valid LTK1 (or LTK2) animal‑work licence, and fluent English; German is preferred and French is a plus.
