Senior Aerodynamicist

The Senior Aerodynamicist will join the Audi Revolut F1 Team, Audi’s official factory entry into the FIA Formula 1 World Championship beginning in 2026. The position is located at Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil, Switzerland, one of three sites that together develop the power unit, chassis and race operations for the new programme. In this role you will collaborate daily with fellow aerodynamic engineers inside a dedicated development squad, steering major aerodynamic projects from initial concept through to on‑track validation. Tasks include creating innovative aerodynamic solutions that comply with current Formula 1 rules, interpreting CFD, wind‑tunnel and circuit data to shape development direction, and improving the correlation between virtual and physical testing. You will also oversee wind‑tunnel sessions, sometimes covering night shifts, mentor junior staff, and apply the department’s specialised tools and methods to deliver high‑quality work under tight deadlines while identifying high‑impact performance gains. The ideal candidate holds a strong academic foundation in fluid mechanics and aerodynamics, preferably at MSc level, with a degree in aerospace, aeronautical or a related field. Proven experience in aerodynamic development for Formula 1 or a comparable top‑tier motorsport series is required, together with extensive use of CFD, wind‑tunnel testing and data‑analysis platforms in a high‑performance setting.
