Software Engineer – Python/PHP & PostgreSQL

In this position you will design, develop, test and maintain applications using Python, PHP and PostgreSQL. You'll partner with cross‑functional teams to define new features, translate business needs into technical specifications, and ensure that solutions are reliable, scalable and responsive. Daily tasks include troubleshooting performance issues, conducting code reviews, documenting code and automation, and contributing to the evolution of development processes and tools. You will also support the upkeep of existing banking systems while staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends. The role requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline, together with two to four years of professional software development experience. Candidates must demonstrate strong proficiency in Python, PHP and PostgreSQL, as well as a solid grasp of software development principles, application architecture and RESTful APIs. Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows is essential, alongside strong analytical, problem‑solving and detail‑orientation skills. Effective communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders and the ability to work well within a team are also mandatory. A background in front‑end technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript is considered advantageous, as is an interest in banking operations or prior experience in financial services.
