Tableau Platform & Business Intelligence Engineer

They are seeking a Tableau Platform & Business Intelligence Engineer to join their team. The main responsibilities of the role include administering Tableau Server in enterprise or multi-environment settings, developing Tableau dashboards, reports, and workbooks, and translating business requirements into scalable BI reporting solutions. The engineer will also support production BI environments, troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document operational procedures. Additionally, the role involves working with various stakeholders, including business stakeholders, service owners, infrastructure teams, database teams, and external vendors. To qualify for this position, candidates must have at least 5 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, analytics platforms, or related domains. They should also have 3 years of hands-on experience with Tableau Server administration and 3 years of Tableau development experience. Strong expertise in SQL, relational databases, and data extracts is essential. The role requires the ability to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders. Nice-to-have skills include experience with Tableau Server upgrades, backup/restore, and platform maintenance. Knowledge of automation and scripting, database performance tuning, and familiarity with AWS Athena or similar cloud-based query services are also beneficial. Experience with Confluence, Git, or similar collaboration/version-control tools, as well as familiarity with Agile methodologies and ITIL service management practices, is a plus. The role offers full-remote work, including outside Europe, and the ability to work independently in multicultural and distributed environments is valued. Knowledge of a second UN language is also a plus.
