The role is for a Professor in the field of Digital Spaces at the Academy of Art and Design Basel FHNW, Institute of Digital Communication Environments. The candidate must have a proven track record of several years' research and teaching experience, particularly in areas such as Interaction Design, Critical Media, Digital Social Spaces, Digital Scenography, Generative AI, OSINT, UX/UI Design, Signage, Data Literacy, Digital Cultures and Technologies. The candidate should have an established research network, demonstrate high-quality research output, and have successfully secured external funding for research projects. Additionally, the candidate must have experience in innovative teaching methods and delivering high-quality, research-led and practice-oriented teaching. Excellent communication and organisational skills are also required. The candidate must hold a qualification in higher education teaching didactics or be willing to obtain one during the first few years of employment. Excellent German and English language skills in both spoken and written form are essential. Nice-to-have skills include a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and social justice.
