Race Engineer

The position of Race Engineer at Specialized places you at the heart of a world‑renowned cycling brand, where you will help bring race‑ready bicycles from concept to competition. Working alongside the performance team, you will turn rider input and analytical data into concrete design refinements, ensuring each bike meets the exacting standards of elite athletes. Your daily work will involve developing and testing prototypes, fine‑tuning components, and applying data‑acquisition insights to improve performance. You will regularly use CAD software such as SolidWorks or CATIA to create and adjust designs, while drawing on a deep knowledge of materials science and aerodynamics to optimize every detail. Collaboration with engineers, designers, and riders in a fast‑moving environment will be a constant part of the role. The job requires at least three years of experience in high‑performance product development, strong skills in CAD and data‑capture tools, and a solid grasp of material properties and aerodynamic principles. You must communicate effectively in English, with German language ability considered an advantage, and have a proven record of working successfully within multidisciplinary teams.
