The role of Expert Science and Technology in Downstream Process Development is a temporary contractor position at Novartis, a company that impacts the lives of a significant portion of the world's population. Additionally, the expert will communicate and address problems, perform safety and literature searches, and work with other team members to facilitate DS delivery. To qualify for this role, candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as an associate scientist/associate expert or a completed Bachelor's degree. Proven experience in safe handling of chemicals and equipment, as well as strong scientific or technical knowledge in a specific area, such as biotechnology, is required. Proficiency with laboratory and technical tools, as well as software and computer tools, is essential. Fluency in English, both oral and written, is also a must. Nice-to-have skills include experience with downstream development technologies like chromatography or filtration. Basic presentation skills and scientific/technical writing skills are also beneficial. The role is based onsite with a 100% workload (40 hours per week) and a contract duration of 24 months, starting in December 2026.
