State Estimation Software Engineer

As a State Estimation Software Engineer you will help create the visual‑based navigation systems that make these UAVs reliable and mission‑ready. Your daily work will revolve around crafting and refining algorithms that merge data from inertial measurement units, GPS, cameras and other sensors to produce accurate estimates of position, velocity and orientation. You will translate these designs onto real hardware, confirming that they operate consistently under field conditions. In addition, you will construct robust testing frameworks that assess algorithm performance using extensive flight datasets and challenging edge‑case scenarios, all within modern CI/CD pipelines. The role requires a master’s or doctorate in robotics, control systems, aerospace engineering, computer science or a closely related discipline, together with more than five years of professional experience building state‑estimation solutions. You must possess a deep grasp of estimation methods, be proficient in C++, and have a proven ability to deploy code on embedded or real‑time platforms while rigorously testing complex software systems. Experience with UAV or robotic platforms, familiarity with visual‑inertial fusion, and a background in optimization or probabilistic robotics are considered advantageous.
