Financial Accounting Intra Group Retrocessions Intern (m/f/x/d, 80-100%)

Swiss Re, a worldwide leader in reinsurance and risk‑transfer solutions, is looking for an intern to join its Intra‑Group Retrocession (IGR) & External Retrocession unit. The position offers a chance to work at the core of the firm’s financial statement production while gaining exposure to a fast‑moving, cross‑functional setting. During the internship you will apply sophisticated data‑analysis and AI methods to support IGR workflows and external retrocession tasks. You will keep Python scripts up‑to‑date, ensuring they remain reliable and scalable, and you will verify and interpret the numbers that feed quarterly reporting. Acting as the primary contact for queries on internal and external retrocession results, you will also assist with various projects aimed at improving the financial reporting environment. The role requires you to be enrolled in or have just finished a bachelor’s or master’s program in data analysis, economics, finance or a similar quantitative discipline. You need solid analytical skills, a keen interest in quarterly closing and reporting, and the willingness to learn SAP, FPSL and LFD systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and fluent English are mandatory. Helpful extras include Python coding experience, a basic grasp of accounting statements, and familiarity with IFRS 17.
