A Junior Software Engineer Low‑Latency Trading will join a five‑year‑old crypto‑trading firm that builds market‑beating software and aspires to dominate worldwide financial markets. The company blends rigorous scientific methods with data‑driven engineering, rewarding the strongest arguments over hierarchy. In this role you will collaborate with researchers and engineers to design, enhance and sustain a trading stack that processes quotes and trades from global exchanges with extreme speed. Daily tasks involve optimizing data collection pipelines, solving large‑scale data problems, and squeezing performance down to the nanosecond level, always prioritising precision and throughput. The position requires a self‑motivated mindset and a drive for perfection, together with expert C/C++ design and coding abilities demonstrated on sizable projects in fast‑moving environments. Candidates must show an active GitHub (or similar) portfolio, possess solid knowledge of networking fundamentals such as TCP and UDP, and have deep understanding of algorithms, complexity, statistics and algebra. A master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline is mandatory, as is practical experience with scripting languages like Python or shell. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure is considered a plus. The job is based in Zug, Switzerland, with relocation assistance offered.
