Switzerland Residency Program 2027 (Fully Funded)

The Jan Michalski Foundation invites writers, poets, translators and other creative authors to join its 2027 residency in Switzerland, a program that supplies all essential expenses while providing a tranquil setting for literary work. Situated near Montricher at the base of the Jura range, the fellowship places participants in a secluded cabin with views of Lake Geneva, the Alps or the surrounding hills. During the stay, residents devote their time to advancing their writing projects, drawing on a large multilingual library, taking part in cultural events and using electric bicycles for daytime excursions. Daily routine includes breakfast and lunch supplied by the foundation, with the freedom to structure personal writing hours as needed. Applicants must be writers whose primary activity involves producing text, regardless of age or nationality, and the application incurs no fee. Preference is given to those whose work focuses on literature or translation, though other creative fields are considered if writing remains central. Submissions are accepted in any language. The grant covers round‑trip airfare, accommodation, a weekly stipend of CHF 400 and meals, and the residency can last
