Technical Drafting Specialist - Humanoid (human)

The position of Technical Drafting Specialist is part of a humanoid robotics department that designs and builds advanced humanoid robots. The role focuses on turning 3D CAD models into clear, production‑ready drawings that guide the assembly of complex robotic systems. Day‑to‑day work involves generating, updating and signing off technical drawings, extracting part and assembly schematics from CAD data, and specifying dimensional, geometric and positional tolerances. You will also create and keep current bills of materials, follow ISO and DIN drawing standards, collaborate closely with development engineers, manufacturing teams and suppliers, and take part in design reviews that emphasize drawing quality and manufacturability. Managing engineering change requests and maintaining version control throughout the product lifecycle are also key tasks. Applicants must hold a degree in mechanical engineering, technical drawing, product design or a related discipline. A solid grasp of technical drawing principles and confident use of CAD tools such as CREO, SolidWorks or NX are required. You should be well‑versed in dimensioning and tolerancing, including form‑ and position‑tolerance standards (ISO GPS), surface specifications, material selection and common manufacturing methods like machining, injection molding and CFRP. A methodical, detail‑oriented work style and proficiency in German or English are essential. Experience in robotics, mechatronics or handling intricate assemblies is advantageous, as is familiarity with PLM/PDM platforms such as Teamcenter, Windchill or SolidWorks PDM. Prior involvement in change‑management processes and a good understanding of assembly and manufacturing drawings will further support success in this collaborative, technically demanding environment.
