Assistant Maître d'hôtel

Mandarin Oriental, Geneva is seeking an Assistant Maître d'Hôtel to join their Banquets team. The Assistant Maître d'Hôtel will oversee banquet service operations, assisting the Banquet Operations Manager. Key responsibilities include ensuring setup complies with event specifications, greeting guests, managing coat check, recruiting and supervising temporary staff, verifying menus, monitoring service, and handling guest complaints according to the LQE procedure. Candidates must have a passion for service and attention to detail. Previous experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment is preferred. Strong communication skills, a flexible attitude, and a desire to learn and grow are essential. Fluency in English and French is required, with another European language being a plus. A valid Swiss work permit or EU passport is necessary. Nice-to-have skills include team spirit and curiosity.
