Manager, Int’l Health Systems Integrations

The position of Manager, Int’l Health Systems Integrations at Abbott Cancer Diagnostics focuses on helping U.S. health providers link their electronic medical record platforms with Abbott’s diagnostic solutions. The role acts as a bridge between hospitals, labs, and Abbott’s internal product, engineering, medical affairs and commercial groups, ensuring that integration projects align with clinical and operational goals. Day‑to‑day duties involve serving as the main liaison for health‑care partners, spotting and advancing EMR/EHR integration chances, and advising account and marketing teams on technical aspects. The manager works directly with provider IT and informatics staff to connect their systems to Abbott’s platforms, leads conversations about workflow design, technical needs and rollout plans, and conveys customer perspectives to internal groups. Responsibilities also include guiding data exchange using standards such as HL7, FHIR and APIs, coordinating internal resources during implementation, troubleshooting issues, producing documentation and status reports, and maintaining strong ties with external IT leaders. Travel is limited to less than a third of the work week. Essential qualifications require fluent English at a C1 level, a bachelor’s degree in a health‑related or IT discipline, eight years of relevant experience and at least four years focused on health‑technology or digital health. Candidates must be versed in Cerner or Epic, understand HL7/FHIR/API integration, and have a solid record of collaborating with hospitals, laboratory teams or technology vendors. Knowledge of privacy and health‑data regulations such as GDPR and HITECH, strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences, and the legal right to work in Switzerland are also mandatory. Preferred attributes include experience with additional EHRs like Ded
