Data Engineering Consultant (Zurich, Switzerland)

As a Data Engineering Consultant based in Zurich, you will work with the firm’s cross‑border team to advise customers on building scalable cloud data platforms and AI solutions. Your everyday work will involve analysing both business and technical needs, then designing and implementing robust data architectures, pipelines and platform components together with client and project teams. You will shape data models, develop modern data pipelines using tools such as Databricks or Microsoft Fabric, and contribute to broader data and AI initiatives that span cloud architecture, data engineering, data science and generative AI. Communicating recommendations and results to senior stakeholders will also be part of the role. The position requires at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, plus three or more years of proven data‑engineering experience that includes data modelling (Data Vault or dimensional), ETL/ELT pipeline creation, and hands‑on work with Databricks or Microsoft Fabric, dbt, Azure, SQL and Python. You must possess strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and be able to explain complex topics clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written, is mandatory, and you should have domain knowledge in at least one industry.
