Internship Research & Development Biomechanics Test Laboratory - from February/March 2027 for 6 months

Stryker, a leading medical technology company, is seeking an intern to join their biomechanics test laboratory team. The role involves product safety testing and supporting the team in biomechanical performance testing, data analysis, and documentation. The intern will also maintain laboratory equipment and conduct literature searches and reviews. Additionally, the intern will coordinate activities with experienced biomechanical engineers who will mentor them throughout the internship. The main day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in biomechanical performance testing, analyzing data, documenting testing activities and results in technical reports, and maintaining laboratory equipment. The intern will also conduct literature searches and reviews, and coordinate with experienced biomechanical engineers for mentorship and guidance. To qualify, candidates must be studying engineering with a focus on mechanical engineering, biomechanics, medical engineering, material science, or similar subjects. Ideally, candidates should have some experience in mechanical testing of medical devices. Strong communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work independently and precisely are essential. Candidates must have above-average grades and a very good command of English. Nice-to-have skills include a solution-oriented work style and the ability to thrive in an international working environment.
