RF Test Engineer

The RF Test Engineer role at Destinus focuses on confirming that sophisticated RF systems meet their design specifications, from initial component checks to full‑system field trials. Destinus develops cutting‑edge unmanned aerial vehicles for defense customers worldwide, delivering speed, precision and cost‑effective solutions to mission‑critical operations. In this position you will design and build test setups, define measurement procedures and create test routines for components, modules and complete systems. Daily tasks involve carrying out RF measurements, characterising performance throughout the product lifecycle, analysing the data and turning the results into clear engineering recommendations. You will also produce test documentation, write reports and work closely with RF, hardware, software and system engineers to validate designs and troubleshoot issues. Laboratory and field evaluations, prototype bring‑up, debugging and integration activities are part of the routine. The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of RF measurement methods and extensive hands‑on experience with RF test equipment. A solid grasp of RF theory, components and system architectures is essential, as is practical ability to assemble, integrate and troubleshoot RF hardware. Experience automating tests with scripting or programming languages such as Python, strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, and the skill to document, communicate and present technical findings effectively are required. A structured, organised work style with the capacity to prioritise tasks according to impact and project needs is also expected.
