Project HSE Supervisor

The firm's Global Enterprise division partners with multinational organisations to optimise portfolio performance across a broad range of sectors, from finance to data‑centres. The vacancy is for a Project HSE Supervisor who will join the site‑level Project Management (PJM) group supporting a sizeable life‑science client portfolio based in Zurich and Luzern. In this position the incumbent will act as the health, safety and environment (HSE) subject‑matter expert, championing a visible safety culture among the PJM crew, suppliers and subcontractors. Responsibilities include contributing to client presentations, bid workshops and contract drafting to align with client expectations, and guaranteeing that design concepts meet both engineering best practice and local safety regulations. The role also requires ensuring that all HSE actions at the project level obey applicable legislation, client mandates, international standards and the company's own safety policies. Close collaboration with the site PJM team is needed to embed contractor‑specific plans and CBRE HSE criteria, with particular attention to pre‑qualifying subcontractors and meeting client planning needs. The supervisor will design, roll out and maintain HSE programmes, provide task‑level guidance to project teams, coach colleagues on HSE tools, and carry out audits while overseeing accident reporting and investigations. The ideal candidate demonstrates a genuine enthusiasm for HSE and consistently models the behaviours expected of the team. They must be energetic, self‑motivated, confident and capable of juggling several priorities at once. Strong verbal and written communication skills, together with the ability to influence cross‑functional groups, are essential. Fluency in both English and German is required. Academic credentials should include a bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, engineering or a comparable discipline, complemented by a recognised professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional. A minimum of two to three years of relevant experience within pharmaceutical environments is mandatory.
