In the role of Senior Associate Global Safety – Local Safety Switzerland you will join the Swiss affiliate’s pharmacovigilance team, supporting the safe use of Amgen products across the country and providing safety expertise to local commercial, medical and regulatory functions. Your daily work will involve handling adverse event information, performing literature reviews, and ensuring timely safety reporting in line with Swiss legislation and internal SOPs. You will keep the safety database up‑to‑date, assist with urgent safety communications, and help prepare risk‑minimisation activities. The position also requires you to support inspection readiness, contribute to internal audits, and review vendor contracts, website projects and patient‑support programmes from a pharmacovigilance perspective. Close collaboration with colleagues in Germany, Austria and the worldwide safety organization is a core part of the job. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in a life‑science discipline such as pharmacy, medicine or veterinary science and has solid experience in pharmacovigilance, preferably within a pharmaceutical or biotech affiliate. A practical understanding of Swiss PV requirements for both post‑marketing and clinical‑trial settings is essential, as is the ability to identify, prioritize and escalate safety issues. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and confidence in stakeholder management across commercial, medical, regulatory and quality teams are required. Excellent written and verbal communication in English and fluency in German are mandatory, and the role demands confidence in performing core safety operations once trained. Experience with pharmacovigilance audits and inspections is considered an advantage, and additional language skills in French or Italian are welcomed. The position is based in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, offering the chance to work within a diverse, inclusive community that values professional growth and work‑life balance. Amgen provides a comprehensive total‑rewards package, opportunities to move across its global network, and a supportive environment that encourages ideas and collaboration. What the role asks for: - University degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine or related field - Pharmacovigilance experience in pharma/biotech affiliate setting - Knowledge of Swiss PV regulations for post‑marketing and trials - Strong organizational, accountability and detail‑orientation - Stakeholder management with Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, Quality teams - Ability to identify, prioritize and escalate safety issues - Excellent written and spoken English communication - Fluency in German (spoken and written) - Confidence in core safety operations after training - Experience with PV audits and inspections (nice‑to‑have) - French and/or Italian language proficiency (nice‑to‑have)
