EHS Specialist

In this position, the EHS Specialist will apply both internal and external environmental, health, safety and physical‑security standards across the site. Core duties include gathering and submitting EHS performance data, designing and overseeing on‑site emergency‑response plans, and adapting global training modules for local use. The role also requires maintaining compliant documentation, acting as the primary liaison for auditors and regulatory bodies, and supporting broader safety initiatives, including periodic audits and the responsibilities of a Swiss Sicherheitsbeauftragter. Collaboration with a worldwide EHS network and reporting to the plant’s operations head are integral parts of the job. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a scientific or engineering field, with preferred certifications such as Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor. At least three years of EHS management experience—ideally within a multinational, American‑owned organization—and familiarity with the med‑tech or pharmaceutical sector are essential. The role calls for a proactive, project‑oriented mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate clearly at all organizational levels.
