Validation & Compliance Engineer

PerkinElmer’s OneSource division seeks a Validation & Compliance Engineer to work on a customer site (MSD) in Schachen, supporting the production environment for its laboratory‑solution services. The role sits within a hybrid‑working framework and contributes to the company’s science‑driven mission. The engineer will review and validate test and data‑analysis equipment used in phase‑1 and phase‑2 manufacturing, and keep both paper and electronic maintenance, qualification, and calibration records in the customer’s system. Duties also include helping to draft procedures or protocols, acting as a knowledge source for validation technicians, contractors and vendors, and collaborating with the customer’s QA and technical unit on new specifications. Participation in change‑management and deviation‑tracking activities, including leading or supporting CAPA efforts, is also expected. Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in life sciences, quality, compliance or comparable experience, and possess three to five years of relevant work in a (bio‑)pharma setting focused on quality, validation or compliance. A solid grasp of cGMP, Annex 1 and related validation regulations is required, while familiarity with GMP, GLP, GDocP, pharmacopeial standards and other regulatory frameworks is advantageous. Strong attention to detail, a service‑oriented mindset, and excellent written and spoken English are essential; German language skills are a plus. The candidate must be able to follow customer SOPs and comply with FDA, EU and SwissMedic guidelines, and work both independently and within a team.
