The Assembly & Integration Technician role is part of Destinus' engineering team, responsible for the final build, integration and packaging of solid‑rocket motors at the Lucerne site. The position sits at the end of the production line, where propellant grains, mechanical parts and initiators are combined into a certified product ready for shipment. Every day the technician follows detailed assembly procedures, drawings and work instructions to fit, torque, seal and bond motor components. They carry out inspections before and after each step, confirm part numbers and lot codes, and keep complete assembly records to guarantee traceability. Finished motors and energetic sub‑assemblies are packed according to transport regulations (ADR/SDR) and internal packing standards, while energetic items are stored and handled following strict safety rules. The role also supports incoming inspections, flags non‑conformances and helps keep the work area tidy and safe, contributing ideas for process improvements. The ideal candidate has completed vocational training as a Polymechaniker/in, Produktionsmechaniker/in or an equivalent programme, and brings several years of hands‑on experience in precision mechanical assembly, preferably within a regulated or safety‑critical sector such as aerospace, defence, medical devices or ammunition manufacturing. They must be comfortable using precision hand tools, torque devices, adhesives and sealants, and be able to interpret assembly drawings, exploded views and written instructions with high accuracy. Meticulous documentation skills and a disciplined, procedure‑driven mindset are essential, as is fluency in German or English. Experience with energetic, pyrotechnic or otherwise hazardous materials is considered a strong advantage. The position offers the chance to work in a focused, high‑standards environment where quality and safety are paramount, alongside a team that values methodical work and continuous improvement. What the role asks for: - Vocational training as Polymechaniker/in or Produktionsmechaniker/in (or equivalent) - Several years of precision mechanical assembly experience - Experience in regulated or safety‑critical environment - Proficiency with precision hand tools and torque/adhesive equipment - Ability to read assembly drawings and work instructions accurately - Strong documentation and traceability habits - Fluency in German or English - Experience handling energetic, pyrotechnic, or hazardous materials (nice‑to‑have)
