Initiative Application for Bachelor- or Masterthesis

SKAN, founded in 1968, is a leading provider of cleanroom equipment and isolator solutions for the global pharmaceutical sector. The company combines innovative products with customer‑specific engineering and a strong service organisation, making it a trusted partner for industry and research laboratories worldwide. At SKAN's Allschwil site, the firm invites motivated Bachelor's or Master's students to write their thesis in close cooperation with its experts. Rather than assigning a fixed topic, SKAN asks candidates to present the area they wish to explore, whether that lies in product management, development, mechatronics, or processes and digitalisation. Together with the team, the thesis focus will be shaped to match the student's interests and the company's technical challenges. During the project, the student will blend academic research with real‑world industrial problems, receive practical training at the head office, and benefit from guidance by qualified vocational trainers. The environment is described as open, cooperative and supportive of new ideas, with additional opportunities to join sports and leisure activities offered by the company. Applicants should submit a current CV and a motivation letter that clearly outlines their proposed thesis idea, timeline and expectations. The more detailed the submission, the better SKAN can match the project to the student's study programme and personal goals.
