Engineering Manager

Evooq creates a data‑driven ecosystem that blends technology and investment expertise, enabling finance professionals to spot opportunities, make decisions and manage investment lifecycles across advisory, discretionary and banking lines. The Engineering Manager will lead the Wealth Platform engineering effort, overseeing roughly twenty‑five engineers through seven team leads and ensuring that product and technology priorities are turned into reliable delivery plans. Each day the manager works closely with product management and the CTO to break down strategic goals into actionable engineering objectives, monitors progress, identifies risks and dependencies, and initiates corrective steps when timelines slip. They also handle capacity planning, spot skill gaps, propose hiring or re‑allocation, and promote the use of AI‑assisted development tools while tracking key performance metrics to raise quality and efficiency. On the people side, the role sets clear expectations, conducts performance reviews, mentors team leads, and cultivates a collaborative, accountable culture through regular communication and transparent decision‑making. Additionally, the manager serves as the primary engineering liaison for non‑technical groups, coordinates cross‑functional dependencies, and contributes engineering insight to client proposals. Candidates must bring a solid software engineering background with at least five years of hands‑on development experience, a track record of delivering complex enterprise or B2B SaaS products, and the ability to engage in technical discussions without being the chief architect. Leadership capabilities are essential, including coaching both individual contributors and leads, driving execution, making decisive trade‑offs, and partnering with HR to refine organizational practices. The position offers work on modern technology stacks within autonomous, high‑trust teams, a flexible schedule with up to two remote days per week, and a hybrid office that features a playroom, video‑game consoles, a cafeteria and complimentary drinks, fostering a friendly and social environment.
