Model Maker - Part Prep (Fixed Term)

The role of Model Maker - Part Prep is within the Audi Revolut F1® Team, a group preparing to compete in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship starting in 2026. The team operates from three locations, with the position based at Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil, Switzerland. The company is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing, particularly in the development of chassis and race operations. The main day-to-day responsibilities involve preparing, finishing, and inspecting test parts. This includes working with various materials such as CNC-milled metal components, DMLS additively manufactured metal parts, and rapid-prototyped polymer parts. The role also involves surface finishing operations like sanding, grinding, painting, drilling, tapping, and deburring. Additionally, the position requires pre-assembly and fit-check of components for wind tunnel testing, as well as performing dimensional and visual inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards. To qualify for this role, candidates must have several years of technical, hands-on experience, with a preference for those who have worked with rapid prototyping parts. Skills in working accurately with hand tools and measuring equipment are essential.
