Factory Commissioning / Industrial Project Engineer (Region of Valencia)

FenX is seeking a Factory Commissioning / Industrial Project Engineer to serve as their on-site technical lead and industrialization representative at customer factories in the Region of Valencia. The role involves ensuring successful commissioning, ramp-up, and performance delivery of industrial and prototype equipment. The main day-to-day responsibilities include providing hands-on technical support, troubleshooting mechanical and process issues, and driving the implementation of practical technical solutions. The engineer will design, adapt, and improve hardware solutions, work closely with machinery suppliers, and ensure alignment between on-site activities and internal engineering teams, including regular interactions and travel to Switzerland. Additionally, the role involves maintaining clear and structured reporting on technical issues, root cause analyses, and implementation progress, as well as capturing learnings for future rollouts. The must-have requirements for this role include a background in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on industrial equipment and machinery design. Experience in industrial environments, factory commissioning, or scale-up projects is highly valued. The ability to independently design, procure, and implement mechanical solutions from concept to industrial deployment is essential. Competence in coordinating external suppliers and industrial service providers is also required. Fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory, with German being a plus. The role requires a willingness to be based at the customer site most of the time, with regular travel to Switzerland. Nice-to-have skills include knowledge of process and materials, and comfort working with operators, engineers, and suppliers.
