Accounting & Audit Intern for HQ, based in Geneva (Link for External Applicants)

IMPACT Initiatives is a humanitarian NGO based in Geneva, Switzerland. The organization specializes in data collection, management, and analysis, as well as GIS and remote sensing. It was launched by ACTED, an international NGO headquartered in Paris, with a presence in thirty countries. The two organizations collaborate closely, allowing IMPACT to benefit from ACTED's operational support in various fields. The Accounting and Audit Intern will support the Finance & Admin Unit in Geneva. This role involves assisting with monthly accounting tasks, preparing payment vouchers, and ensuring all supporting documentation is available and accurate. The intern will also prepare import files for expenses, such as travel invoices and reimbursements, and maintain databases up to date. Additionally, the intern will screen staff, partners, and suppliers to ensure they have clean records and collect and cross-check supporting documentation for audits. To qualify, candidates must have a Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Finance or Business Administration. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required, with French being an asset. The internship offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic team within a humanitarian organization. The role is based in Geneva, providing a unique experience in a multicultural environment. The internship is for a duration of six months, starting in January 2027.
