Sampler / Pharma Microbiology Analyst (80 - 100 %)

Within its BioPharma Product Testing division in Switzerland, the company seeks a Sampler / Pharma Microbiology Analyst to join the Quality Control Microbiology team in Schönenwerd, supporting GMP‑compliant sampling and microbiological analysis for drug substances and finished products. The position blends field sampling with laboratory work. You will collect utility samples such as purified water, compressed air and steam, as well as perform environmental monitoring of air, surfaces and personnel, following aseptic techniques and recording every step in the LIMS and digital batch records. In the lab you will carry out routine microbiological tests—including bioburden, total aerobic/mold counts, endotoxin assays and basic microbial identification—prepare media, maintain equipment hygiene and contribute to deviation handling, investigations and continuous‑improvement projects. A rotating weekend schedule may be required for time‑critical activities. Applicants need a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a life‑science discipline (e.g., microbiology, biotechnology or pharmaceutical sciences). Prior exposure to microbiology, environmental monitoring, utility sampling or GMP laboratory environments is advantageous. Strong digital competence is essential, with high proficiency in Office tools, LIMS and electronic data capture, plus an understanding of data‑integrity principles. Fluency in German and good English are required; French is a plus. A valid driver’s licence (category B) is also needed.
