Legal AI Counsel (Zurich)

Legartis is building an AI‑driven platform that reshapes how legal teams review and negotiate contracts. The company combines product engineering with deep legal expertise to deliver a "Legal Agent" that automates and augments contract work at scale. The Legal AI Counsel role sits at the crossroads of law, revenue, and artificial intelligence, turning the technology into tangible value for customers through demos, onboarding, and continuous product improvement. On a daily basis the counsel creates and delivers compelling live demonstrations, joins high‑stakes prospect calls, and runs trial workshops where customers solve real use cases under guidance. After a deal closes, the person acts as a strategic partner, defining review requirements, fine‑tuning prompts and playbooks, and translating insights into reusable standards. They also work directly with the Legal Agent, probing prompts, diagnosing failures, and feeding findings back to product and engineering. When needed, they provide in‑house legal support on contract reviews and specific legal queries. The position requires a blend of legal and technical skills. Candidates must have solid legal education and practical experience with commercial contracts, whether from an in‑house team, a law firm, or a legal‑tech environment. Fluency in both German and English is essential. They must also have hands‑on experience with large language models, treating prompting and evaluation as a craft. Demonstrated ability to run polished demos, coach customers through trials, convert objections into workable solutions, converse confidently with general counsels, and always leave meetings with a clear next step is mandatory. A track record of owning and delivering multi‑stakeholder projects is also required. Additional assets include a German 2. Staatsexamen, proficiency in other languages, and prior experience influencing deals, renewals or expansions.
