Nonclinical Study Coordinator – 4 Months (Maternity Replacement)

The team seeks a meticulous Study & Vendor Support Coordinator to oversee the operational side of outsourced non‑clinical projects and development initiatives. The position is designed for someone who enjoys turning tangled data into clear structures, building digital tracking systems, and keeping cross‑functional groups in sync. Day‑to‑day duties involve steering the study workflow from contract review through legal clearance, purchase‑order creation in SAP, vendor notification and invoice approval, while ensuring every document is filed in customized Office tools. The coordinator will keep study timelines and files up to date, arrange global calls for vendor selection and alignment, and relieve senior monitors and functional leads of routine administrative load. Interaction with external partners includes gathering proposals, scoring bids, managing contract versions, and communicating in German when required. The role also makes extensive use of SharePoint, Excel dashboards, Power BI and bespoke templates to boost visibility and streamline processes, and supports meeting logistics, agenda preparation and action‑item tracking. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s qualification in a life‑science discipline such as biology, chemistry or a related field, and have hands‑on experience with animal‑based laboratory work, whether through a thesis, internship or similar research activity. A strong administrative mindset, excellent organisational abilities, and fluency in German at C1 or native level are essential. Proficiency with digital collaboration tools (Excel, SharePoint, Teams) and a service‑oriented, warm demeanor are also required. Additional assets include prior exposure to clinical or non‑clinical study coordination, experience within a contract research organization, familiarity with SAP, and a background in project or procurement support.
