Product Manager

The role is for a Product Manager within the Global Services Business Unit (GSE) at VAT, a leading supplier of high-performance vacuum valves. VAT is known for its vacuum solutions and has been innovating in this field for over 60 years. The company operates globally with headquarters in Haag, Switzerland, and employs over 3,200 people worldwide. The main day-to-day responsibilities include supporting the sales and service organization with technical, commercial, and operational aspects. The Product Manager will develop service product and customer strategies based on market and competitive intelligence. They will also derive business plans from the growth strategy and direct market introduction plans. Additionally, the role involves identifying customer technical roadmaps and driving corresponding product development, as well as managing sales and profitability targets for dedicated product families and assigned customers. To qualify for this role, candidates must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in sciences or engineering, or an equivalent education. An additional degree in economics and/or marketing, or a successful record in a commercial position, is also required. Experience in product management within a high-tech international environment, preferably in the vacuum industry or critical component B2B business, is essential. Fluency in business English, both written and spoken, is a must. Nice-to-have skills include strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to build customer trust and loyalty. The role also requires the ability to provide fact-driven solutions and translate market requirements into growth strategies.
