Coffee Automation Digital Engineer

The Nestlé Product Technology Centre Coffee, a global R&D hub that creates coffee and beverage innovations for home and out‑of‑home markets, is looking for a Coffee Automation Digital Engineer. In this permanent, full‑time role based in Orbe, Switzerland, you will shape the digital and automation strategy that supports Nestlé's worldwide coffee manufacturing. Your daily work will centre on being the go‑to specialist for cutting‑edge digital and automation solutions used in coffee production. You will design and deliver training that builds internal expertise, collaborate with IT, regional zones and external partners to expand digital capabilities, and supervise the rollout of the Digital & Automation roadmap across sites. You will also evaluate proof‑of‑concept projects, measure their impact, and guide successful scale‑up while maintaining consistent technology standards throughout the coffee network. Success in this position requires a Master's degree in Electronics, Software, Telecommunications engineering, Automation or a comparable field. You must bring extensive background in research and development, data analytics, automation, industrial IT or software engineering, together with deep technical knowledge in data analytics, software development or automation. A solid history of delivering projects and implementing new technologies, as well as proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively, is essential.
