Commodity Buyer (h/f/x) Castings

The vacancy is for a Commodity Buyer (h/f/x) Castings at Liebherr Machines Bulle SA, a specialist centre that designs and builds diesel and gas engines as well as hydraulic units for sectors such as construction, mining, agriculture, energy, plant engineering and aerospace. In this capacity you will oversee a purchasing portfolio each day, analysing data, sorting quotations, updating price lists and completing the associated paperwork. Your duties include sourcing suppliers, issuing RFQs, negotiating prices, handling contracts and long‑term agreements, conducting business reviews and managing supplier performance through reporting. You will also monitor supplier risks, address crises, apply corrective measures, coordinate quality‑department evaluations, support audits, drive cost‑reduction projects and pursue technical solutions that meet design‑to‑cost objectives. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, economics, management, project management or purchasing, and brings one to two years of buying experience in automotive, construction equipment, aviation or railway fields.
