The Test Environment and Data Specialist role at Julius Baer involves ensuring high-quality software delivery within the Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) Agile Release Train (ART). The main responsibilities of the Test Environment and Data Specialist include managing and maintaining stable, compliant test environments and data. This involves designing, building, configuring, and monitoring these environments, as well as ensuring they are correctly provisioned with synthetic or anonymised data. The role also includes keeping Confluence documentation up-to-date, monitoring environment health, and coordinating environment refreshes, patches, and upgrades. Additionally, the specialist defines and enforces standard operating procedures, provides regular updates on environment readiness, and supports Scrum Teams through self-service guidelines and tooling. To qualify for this role, candidates must have proven experience in test environment management and test data lifecycle management within enterprise environments. Proficiency in designing, building, monitoring, and maintaining test environments, as well as resolving configuration drift, is essential. Experience with Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and supporting Scrum Teams, as well as familiarity with Confluence for documentation, is required. Competence in troubleshooting access, connectivity, and defect issues, and the ability to collaborate with CI/CD engineers to embed environment and data setups into automated release pipelines, are also necessary. Strong communication skills and a proactive, collaborative problem-solving approach are crucial. Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with scaled agile frameworks and the ability to work effectively across teams to resolve impediments.
