Software Engineer - K8s Operator

As a Software Engineer – K8s Operator you will join this mission by creating Go‑based Kubernetes Operators that automate the entire lifecycle of the Dynatrace platform, from installation through configuration, upgrades and ongoing operation. Your daily work will involve crafting operators that make running Dynatrace in Kubernetes simple, reliable and consistent across varied customer environments. You will be responsible for the complete developer and operator experience, partnering with several engineering groups to weave their components into a unified, automation‑first model. Leveraging AI‑assisted engineering and observability data, you will enhance the operator’s reliability, observability and resilience, ensuring safe rollouts, automated recovery and predictable behavior at scale. The role requires a background in software engineering or a comparable technical discipline, plus at least two years of hands‑on Golang experience with a solid grasp of object‑oriented and functional programming ideas. You must possess good knowledge of Kubernetes, containers and Kubernetes Operators, and show enthusiasm for building high‑performance, scalable algorithms in a cloud‑native context. A collaborative, hands‑on problem‑solving mindset and a dedication to delivering high‑quality solutions as part of a team are essential. The position is based in Lucerne and offers hybrid work, but you must already reside in Switzerland and be physically present.
