The Trade Finance Manager (f/m/d) will join Axpo Group, a leading energy and finance company that oversees liquidity and collateral management for its trading activities. The role is based in Baden on an 80‑100 % workload, initially on a six‑month fixed‑term with the possibility of becoming permanent. In day‑to‑day work you will operate Parent Company Guarantees, Documentary and Standby Letters of Credit, LOIs, Bank Guarantees and Bid‑ and Performance Bonds across a network of more than 30 banks worldwide. You will lead the design and continuous improvement of cross‑departmental trade‑finance processes, aiming for higher accuracy, efficiency and automation. Close collaboration with international trade‑finance banks, insurers and internal teams such as legal, finance and commercial operations is essential, as is ensuring timely reporting and a clear audit trail for every transaction. You will act as a strategic partner to the commercial desks covering gas, power, LNG and LPG, supporting P&L performance and optimizing capital consumption, while also handling structured trade‑finance transactions, invoice control and internal recharge tasks. The position requires a finance degree from a recognised university or business school and at least five years of relevant experience in a commodity‑trading house or bank, with hands‑on exposure to letters of credit and guarantee operations. Fluency in English at C1/C2 level is mandatory; German is a strong plus and other European languages (Italian, Spanish, French) are useful. The ideal candidate brings a hands‑on, solution‑oriented mindset, strong attention to detail, risk awareness, and the ability to communicate clearly, collaborate transparently and stay composed under pressure. You will become part of a close‑knit, detail‑driven team at the heart of Axpo's liquidity and collateral management. The role offers flexible working hours, the option to work up to 50 % remotely, and a workload ranging from 80 % to full time. Benefits include a generous pension contribution (60 % of employee's share), 100 % salary continuation in case of illness or accident, extensive parental leave, childcare cost reimbursement, attractive discounts with partner companies, and a SwissPass for public transport. Axpo promotes an inclusive, non‑discriminatory culture and values continuous learning and personal growth. What the role asks for: - Finance degree from recognised university or business school - Minimum 5 years experience in commodity trading house or bank - Hands‑on experience with letters of credit and guarantees - Fluent English (C1/C2) - Solution‑oriented mindset with strong detail and risk focus - Strong communication and composure under pressure - German and other European languages (Italian, Spanish, French) useful - Experience with financial reporting or finance system implementation (nice‑to‑have)
