Media Relations Manager, Group External Communications

UBS, a worldwide wealth manager and Switzerland's leading universal bank, is looking for a Media Relations Manager to join its Group External Communications unit in Zurich. The position sits within a compact team that collaborates closely with senior leaders and the broader corporate communications function to shape the bank's public image and messaging. In this capacity you will help design and roll out media‑relations programmes, crafting items such as press releases, Q&A sheets, briefing packs and talking points for executives. You will also serve as the primary contact for artificial‑intelligence initiatives, assisting the Group Corporate Communications group in building and applying a Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) approach. Supporting the Head of Group External Communications, you will track media performance metrics, evaluate results and coordinate projects that involve multiple internal stakeholders. The role calls for a professional with a solid background in media handling, journalism or communications advisory work. Candidates should be comfortable navigating both the Swiss press landscape and international outlets, and be able to produce high‑quality written material in both German and English. An interest in, and understanding of, AI and related technology topics is essential, as is a methodical, data‑driven mindset paired with strong project‑management abilities. The job demands a high level of commitment, reliability and interpersonal skill, especially when working under tight deadlines within a large, matrix‑structured organisation.
