Senior Java developer

The position is a Senior Java Developer serving as Technical Architect for a Fees product within a financial‑services environment. The role focuses on shaping the technical direction of a platform that handles fee calculation, commission management and billing, aligning its evolution with the broader Custody & Trading technology strategy. Day‑to‑day you will define and maintain the architecture, act as the primary technical reference, and mentor the engineering team. You will collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, solution architects and other developers to ensure that new features are delivered as scalable, resilient and maintainable components, while also driving the modernization of the platform and establishing robust engineering practices. Candidates must bring at least eight years of experience in senior technical positions such as Technical Lead, Technical Architect or Senior Software Engineer. Proven expertise in Java, Spring, API‑centric designs, Agile Scrum delivery, SQL and relational databases is required, along with a solid background in the banking, wealth or asset‑management sectors. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and communicate effectively, as well as familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git and Maven, are essential. Additional experience that would be advantageous includes working with container technologies like Kubernetes and Docker, as well as messaging systems such as Kafka or MQSeries. A track record of designing enterprise‑grade software architectures in complex, business‑critical settings will further strengthen a candidate’s fit for this role.
