Project Manager, PMO (m/f/d)

As a Project Manager within Stryker’s OrthoTech division, you will join the PMO team that develops computer‑based planning and guidance solutions for surgeons, spanning pre‑, intra‑ and post‑operative phases. Stryker is a global leader in medical technology, delivering orthopaedic, surgical and neuro‑spine products that aim to improve outcomes for patients and hospitals worldwide. In this role you will orchestrate cross‑functional new‑product development projects for medical devices, coordinating both software and hardware streams. Your day will involve defining schedules, allocating resources, and setting milestones while keeping engineering, quality, regulatory, operations, clinical, marketing and other groups aligned. You will monitor risks and dependencies, track progress, and ensure that quality, timing and business goals are met, while also pushing for continual enhancements to project tools and processes. Collaboration with global colleagues and external partners will be essential to move innovative technologies from concept to market. The position requires a master’s degree in a technical or business discipline and at least three years of experience in project coordination, management, engineering or product development. Candidates must demonstrate strong organisational abilities, the capacity to juggle several priorities, excellent communication and teamwork skills, an analytical and solution‑focused mindset, and fluency in English. Preferred experience includes work in medical devices or other regulated sectors, familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall or hybrid methods, exposure to hardware or software NPD, and experience with international, cross‑functional teams. A project‑management certification such as CAPM or Scrum Master is advantageous, as is willingness to obtain one. The role follows a hybrid model, allowing part‑time remote work while requiring regular on‑site presence in either Freiburg or Berlin to foster strong relationships. Travel is limited to about ten percent of the time, and the position offers a salary range of €5,305‑€8,875 per month, plus potential incentive compensation and Stryker’s benefits package.
