FIELD RESEARCHER

The position of Field Researcher is a full‑time appointment with PERC, an organization focused on reducing violence exposure and mental‑health strain in Nepali communities. The contract runs for eighteen months, beginning in March 2025 and concluding in August 2026, and is placed within the Research and Surveillance unit. Candidates will be based in one of the specified districts – Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Makwanpur, Chitwan, Dhanusha, Parsa or Sarlahi. Each day the hired individual will join training sessions to master the project’s scope, then convey its aims to participants and service users. Data gathering is performed primarily on a tablet, with paper forms used when technology fails, followed by prompt entry into the electronic system. The researcher must keep all information secure, respect privacy rules, and sync findings with the PERC central office. Regular updates are sent to the supervisor, monthly summaries are compiled, and coordination with district coordinators and mental‑health specialists is required to improve referral pathways.
