IQVIA, a global leader in clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence, is looking for a MedTech Device Field Service Engineer or Technician on a flexible, part‑time basis. The role focuses on installing and configuring automated medication dispensing systems in U.S. healthcare facilities, offering a chance to apply technical expertise while supporting clinicians and advancing medical device technology. Day‑to‑day duties involve organizing, testing and assembling the dispensing equipment, reviewing schematics and documentation, and handling logistics for each installation. After setup, the engineer conducts routine checks, records test data, and ensures all work meets quality‑compliance standards. Collaboration with support staff is essential to keep project timelines on track and address customer needs throughout each assignment. The position requires a Matura diploma and at least one year of experience in electronics, hardware, software or mechanical work. Candidates must be fluent in both English and German and demonstrate professional business acumen together with strong communication abilities. Comfort with basic software tools and Microsoft operating systems is expected, as is the capacity to cooperate with design engineers, project managers and healthcare personnel to define equipment layout and workflow. An active, unrestricted driver's licence, a personal vehicle and willingness to use it for assignments are required, along with the ability to travel locally, regionally and nationally on a weekly basis. Applicants should reside within 30 miles of a major airport. Preferred candidates include military veterans with an electronics‑related MOS and those who can operate independently in customer environments with minimal supervision. The role is assignment‑based, offering a per‑diem schedule with 16–30 work hours per week plus paid travel time and mileage. While the position does not include medical benefits, it provides a clear pathway for technical and leadership growth within a fast‑paced MedTech environment.
