Korean PDF Annotation Specialist

Mercor, a San Francisco‑based firm that links top creative and technical talent with prominent AI research laboratories, is hiring a Korean PDF Annotation & Transcription Specialist on a contract basis. The position pays $34 per hour and can be performed remotely. The daily work involves locating publicly available Korean PDF files that contain visual elements such as pictures, tables, or diagrams, and documenting each source. You will outline every significant area on a page, assign it a component label and a reading‑order index, and connect each region to its parent element like a figure or table. Precise transcription of all Hangul text—including hanja and any handwritten material—is required, with unclear sections flagged. Additional duties include capturing page‑level metadata (language, document type, dimensions, and indicators for tables, formulas, or handwriting) and conducting a full review of a peer’s output, as each task is double‑checked by another Korean expert.
