Destinus designs cutting‑edge Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for government and defence customers worldwide, aiming to deliver speed, precision and cost‑effective solutions. In this role you will create, review and maintain electronic components, schematic symbols, footprints and library data using Altium Designer. You will read schematics and datasheets to verify that design information matches manufacturer specifications, support engineers during PCB design, and ensure component libraries stay clean, consistent and reliable. You will also check existing parts for errors, help improve library management processes and apply scripting or automation to speed up repetitive checks. The position requires you to be currently studying toward, or have recently completed, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a related discipline. You must have practical experience with Altium Designer from university projects, personal PCBs or prior internships, and be comfortable with schematic capture, library editors and creating symbols and footprints. You need to understand packages, pinouts, passive components and common ICs, demonstrate strong attention to detail, work in a structured manner and communicate well in written and spoken English. Additional advantages include familiarity with Altium 365 or other managed library environments, knowledge of IPC‑7351 footprint standards, basic Python (or similar) scripting for bulk checks, and exposure to component lifecycle or obsolescence management. The team values curiosity, precision and a hands‑on attitude, offering you the chance to learn from experienced engineers while taking real ownership from day one. What the role asks for: - Enrolled in or recently completed Electrical/Electronics degree - Hands‑on experience with Altium Designer - Proficient in schematic capture and library editing - Able to read schematics and component datasheets - Strong attention to detail and structured work style - Experience with Altium 365 (nice‑to‑have) - Familiarity with IPC‑7351 footprint standards (nice‑to‑have) - Basic Python scripting for automation (nice‑to‑have) - Knowledge of component lifecycle or obsolescence management (nice‑to‑have)
