Line Coach Maintenance

The Line Coach Maintenance role is part of Johnson Electric Group, a worldwide supplier of electric motors, actuators and motion subsystems that serves sectors such as automotive, medical devices, home automation and robotics. The position focuses on keeping production lines running smoothly through both preventive and reactive maintenance work. Each day the coach ensures that all technical interventions respect SUVA safety rules and HSE standards, while acting as the go‑to technical expert for a designated area during complex breakdowns. Responsibilities include safeguarding equipment availability by conducting structured troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and lasting corrective actions; refining preventive and condition‑based maintenance plans; defining the scope for N1, N2 and N3 tasks; and following up on inspection outcomes. In addition, the coach mentors technicians, shares critical knowledge and helps them become more autonomous, always adhering to best‑practice standards. Applicants must hold a vocational qualification such as a BTS, Federal Diploma or equivalent in industrial maintenance, electromechanics, automation or a related discipline, and possess extensive experience with complex industrial equipment. They need to read technical drawings, set up and adjust machines, and be fluent in French, German and/or English. Proficiency in troubleshooting methods, RCA/8D and structured problem‑solving is required, together with strong analytical, communication and interpersonal abilities. The role demands teamwork, the capacity to work under pressure, and flexibility for shift work and occasional weekend duties.
