The Global Procurement Manager, Machines role sits within Nestlé Global Procurement, the function that drives sourcing strategy for the company's worldwide portfolio. Based in La Tour‑de‑Peilz, Switzerland, the position supports the Nespresso Original Line and Milk frother categories, ensuring that coffee‑machine manufacturers deliver reliable, high‑quality, and cost‑effective supply in line with Nestlé's Procurement Standards. The role is a temporary maternity cover, full‑time and hybrid, and offers the chance to influence a global supply chain that spans more than 40 nationalities across hubs in Switzerland, Panama and Malaysia. On a daily basis you will define and roll out the sourcing strategy for the two machine families, coordinating supplier selection, negotiations and the execution of Manufacturing and Supply Agreements. You will use eRFX tools to run competitive bids, drive cost‑reduction programmes such as component standardisation, best‑cost‑country sourcing and alternative‑material adoption, and build a roadmap for efficiency. Managing risk across the entire value chain, from assembly to raw‑material sourcing, is a core task, as is maintaining strong relationships with Nespresso business partners to unlock category‑management value. You will also lead supplier development, assess performance, set clear targets, and monitor Total Delivered Cost (TDC) while analysing commodity trends and budget variations. Success in this position requires solid procurement experience within above‑market or large‑market organisations, preferably in contract‑manufacturing or technical categories. You need a degree in mechanical or electronic engineering to reinforce the dual‑competence profile, although this is listed as a preferred qualification. Advanced negotiation capabilities are essential, together with proven experience in eRFX processes and high‑value contract management. Strong analytical skills and a Total Delivered Cost mindset are required to handle multiple sub‑categories such as electronics, electro‑mechanical, plastic injection and CAPEX. Excellent communication skills are needed to present opportunities, results and actionable recommendations clearly. Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory; any additional language is considered a strong plus. The La Tour‑de‑Peilz location offers flexible hybrid working, paid holidays beyond the legal minimum, and a suite of benefits that include learning and development programmes, a performance‑based bonus, healthcare contributions, an Employee Assistance Program, a generous pension contribution, extensive parental‑leave support and attractive employee discounts. You will join a multicultural team that values inclusive hiring practices, accessibility and safety, and you will progress through a structured interview process that begins with a video call and concludes with a final discussion and offer. What the role asks for: - Proven procurement experience in large‑market structures - Advanced negotiation skills with eRFX experience - Strong analytical abilities and Total Delivered Cost focus - Excellent written and spoken English communication - Nice‑to‑have: Degree in mechanical or electronic engineering - Nice‑to‑have: Additional language proficiency - Nice‑to‑have: Experience in contract‑manufacturing or technical categories
