Electrical Commissioning Engineer - Substations / Europe 60-100%

As an Electrical Commissioning Engineer you will be responsible for bringing HV substation power installations to operational status. Your daily tasks include executing commissioning procedures for the substation's protection and control equipment, testing balance‑of‑plant components such as transformers, UPS units and LV/MV switchgear, and performing the first energisation and start‑up of the system in line with project specifications. The role requires proven experience in commissioning substation protection schemes and a solid grasp of IEC 61850 standards, distance and transformer protection concepts. You must also be familiar with commissioning primary equipment like LV/MV switchgear and transformers, and be ready to receive training for additional sectors such as power generators or synchronous condensers. The ideal candidate works both independently and collaboratively, communicates fluently in English, and holds a valid European work permit.
